Now that you have sent your resume and Cover Letter Next Step would be to either get a interview call or you don't get any update if it is later then send a reminder mail .Explaining your interest in the job and the company and your suitability for the job and a call to the HR could go a long way.
Now to the interview part , Interview happen usually over Phone, Direct , or by Video Calls we will explore on how to best face each one . But as a general practice do a research about the company use the company Website ,Google Reviews Social Media - Such as LinkedIn , Indeed , Glassdoor etc. to get a good idea about the company and its HR practices.
Introduce yourself , the following would be a good formatUsually the call would be to shortlist from the shortlist , so when you get he call know that you just crossed first hurdle , Now usually this caller would tell they are calling from the you applied from and will ask are you interested in the job ? and would go like a normal interview .and the first thing would be to
"Good Morning / Afternoon I am <Your Name > I am from <Country > I have been working for <Company Name > as <Position > for <Work Period > my main job responsibilities are <tell the duties you performed relevant for the job you are applying >I have completed <Degrees/Diplomas> "
This much information would suffice but be ready to talk more if the interviewer asks for more details they may also ask the salary expectation for this answer with a figure you expect, this helps both parties from wasting time if the figures don't match.
If all goes well then another interview would get scheduled , when scheduling call comes give a time appropriate for you , you should consider the time for travel and the area you have to reach and give time and date also make sure not to schedule the interview in a way it gets you late for another interview if any , using a Google Calendar App to schedule your interviews would be ideal.
